Nursing Fail

1 comment:

  1. I have been called to the room of a hypertensive bleeding patient and told that the badly needed blood was going as fast as possible. The unit that should have been in a pressure bag was on and via set to 999. ….ml/hr. we have a diabetes care team in our hospital which standardizes care, improves control, and saves money. They are superb, and a godsend, unless you love lots of late night calls. Nurses are people, and people make mistakes, which don’t excuse the nurse, but it does reinforce my opinion that it’s unsafe to leave any individual in a hospital alone. After 25 years of dealing with family members and hospitals, you just can’t take that chance.
